Here is a oil painting that will warm you up even on the COLDEST of days! It is the sunflower field at the  Pope Farm Conservatory in Middleton, Wisconsin. It was a GREAT morning late in the summer with a group of Dane County Plein Air painters!

'Mother's Day', 22h x 18'w, Oil on Panel

Mother's Day is coming up! Any one you want to surprise with a gift they will have forever?

Spring Has Sprung!

Hard to believe this was just two weeks ago!

Here is a small painting (3"h x 16"w) I did as part of a '24 Hour Painting Contest' with my equine friends. It is in a gallery in West Virginia at the moment.

Today here in Wisconsin we lost most of our Chistmas snow to a nearly 50 degree day. I thought this painting was fitting with the cold damp day and grey mood.

But the good news is tomorrow is another day and another year! And lets not forget The Rose Bowl with the BADGERS... Lets Go RED!

Happy New Year to all!

Here is my tribute to Queen Z... Zenyatta. Silkscreen Prints available in two sizes.

Tomorrow is the day to send all your good zen to the Queen Zen...

Zenyatta is racing tomorrow in the Breeder's Cup Classic at the World Championships in Louisville, KY. She not only holds the record for the longest undefeated winning streak of any thoroughbred, she is also the defending Champion of the Breeder's Cup Classic.

As a 6 year old, she is the oldest horse In what will likely be her final performance, I'm hoping they haven't asked too much of "Queen Z" and her jockey, Mike Smith.

Zenyatta won the Ladies Breeder's Classic in 2008 and followed that up by becoming the first female to win the Breeder's Classic last year; she also became the first horse ever to win two different Breeders’ Cup races. She’s now seeking to become just the second two-time winner of the Breeder's Classic

No one but the bettor's thinks she can do it, as the betting odds have her as a favorite, but most track insider's see her as vulnerable.

I think, win or loose, she will go home as Horse Of The Year. In the last three years with her exciting and undefeated streak, by a male or female horse, she has introduced more new fans to horse racing that don't know a 'furlong' from a 'footlong'. That makes her, in my opinion, not just HOY but Horse Of The Decade.
